Open Consultations: N81 Road Improvement Schemes: Whitestown Lower and Hangman's Bend

Wicklow County Council, in partnership with Transport Infrastructure Ireland, is seeking public input on two significant road improvement projects along the N81 in west Wicklow:

  1. N81 Whitestown Lower Project (2km)

○      Extends from Castleruddery Junction to Ballylion Junction

  1. N81 Hangman's Bend and Tuckmill Project (4km)

○      Extends from Raheen Junction to Hangman's Bend

These projects aim to address road safety deficiencies on the network. The schemes are currently at Phase 2 of development, which involves options assessment and selection.

Public Consultation Event Details:
Date: Thursday, 30th January 2025
Time: 14:00 - 20:00
Venue: Inis Fail Germaines, Main Street, Baltinglass

The project team will be available to provide guidance and answer questions. This non-statutory consultation provides an opportunity for the public to:

●      View the emerging preferred options

●      Submit feedback on the process and conclusions

●      Contribute local knowledge to inform future development phases
