Lucan Demesne Park Entrance Upgrade Works - Part 8 Planning South Dublin County Council

South Dublin County Council has initiated a Part 8 planning process for upgrade works at the entrance and route into Lucan Demesne Park, in the townland of Lucan. The proposed development comprises a 105m timber boardwalk (ranging from 2-3m in width and 150mm to 900mm in elevation), removal of existing pathway for natural reinstatement, comprehensive landscaping, and associated site works.
The plans and particulars can be viewed online at http://consult.sdublincoco.ie (17th January - 28th February 2025) or in person at County Hall, Tallaght during office hours (9am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday). Environmental assessments including Appropriate Assessment Screening, Environmental Impact Assessment Screening, and Ecological Impact Assessment have been completed, and the Planning Authority has determined that an EIA is not required.

The council encourages feedback from local residents and stakeholders on this proposed development.
