Glendalough to Bray Bus Service Enhancement Consultation National Transport Authority

Closing Date: 5pm, Friday 7th February 2025

The National Transport Authority has launched a public consultation on proposed improvements to bus services between Glendalough and Bray. The enhancements include a new seven-day service connecting Laragh, Annamoe, Roundwood, and Kilmacanogue, with five daily return journeys on weekdays.

The proposed service will provide improved connections to regional and DART rail services at Bray (Daly) Rail Station. The enhanced service will feature integration with the TFI Go app for journey planning, Leap Card payment options, and acceptance of Free Travel Passes. Modern, accessible vehicles and upgraded bus stops will ensure comfort and accessibility for all passengers.

Residents and stakeholders can review the proposals and submit feedback through the National Transport Authority Consultation Portal. These improvements are part of the broader Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan, supporting the goals of Project Ireland 2040 and the Climate Action Plan.

The NTA plans to implement these service enhancements by the end of 2025, subject to funding and resource availability. This consultation represents an important opportunity for local communities to shape the future of public transport in their area.
