Mayo County Council Housing Development – Creagh Road, Ballinrobe

Closing Date: 12th March 2025

Mayo County Council hereby gives notice, pursuant to Section 179 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 as amended, and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001, as amended, of plans to carry out the project titled:

Creagh Road Housing Development, Ballinrobe

The proposed development consists of the following:

  • Refurbishment and extension of the existing terrace of three derelict houses comprising:

    • Three 2-bed two storey houses

  • Associated site development works including:

    • Footpaths

    • Public lighting

    • Landscaping

    • Associated earthworks

    • Utilities and services connections

    • Drainage with connections to public mains

    • Associated ancillary works

In accordance with Parts 1 & 2 of Schedule 5 of the Planning & Development Regulations, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is not applicable in this regard.

Mayo County Council, as the competent authority, has carried out a Screening Report for the Creagh Road site and a determination was made that a Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment was not required.

Closing date for all submissions is Tuesday, 12th March 2025.

All comments, including names and addresses of those making submissions and observations, submitted to Mayo County Council in regard to this scheme, will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented at the monthly meeting of Mayo County Council. Accordingly, they will be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain. Mayo County Council will retain data in accordance with the Council's Retention Policy and relevant Data Protection legislation.
